If you're feeling inspired by the sight of countryside road verges bursting into bloom, and the sound of birdsong filling the air, maybe you would like to spend more time outside with nature?
We've got lots to do in order to give our local biodiversity a boost - both in the woods and around the village: for example, putting up bat boxes, planting for wildlife and clearing patches of forest floor.
We’ve been thinking about how to make it as easy as possible for interested residents to get involved with the practical side of our work in the village and the woods – and have concluded regularity is the thing! So, on the first Sunday of the month at 10.30 we will meet at the Main Street play park – if you’re free and would like to spend a couple of hours outdoors and making Padbury greener, please meet us there!
And if you 'd like to learn a fantastic new (but ancient!) and invigorating (but also serene!) skill, then there are still a couple of places available on the totally free scything course on Saturday 6th July.
These meets are in addition to those already scheduled by the verges and woodland work parties.
