It was wonderful to see so many supporters of a greener Padbury at our inaugural AGM on Tuesday 10 October. Around 40 residents turned out to celebrate our progress so far, to share their views on what can be done, and we were very encouraged by the interest and the volunteering to get involved.
Greener Padbury shared a presentation of our most recent achievements (please see below for PowerPoint). Then followed two guest speakers. Alex Cruickshank from Future Nature, part of the Wildlife Trust, spoke to us about what makes a good wood - and then more specifically about the Millennium Wood, and both its challenges and its potential. We then heard from Sarah Ovey on the subject of community allotments.
Thank you to everyone who came along!
