A Greener Padbury

It's counting butterflies time!

The Butterfly Conservation Trust's annual butterfly count has begun! The Big Butterfly Count is a UK-wide survey aimed at helping the Trust assess the health of our environment simply by counting the amount and type of butterflies (and some day-flying moths) we see. Click here to visit their website and found out how you can join in.

You will notice how different butterflies favour different areas of our woods. You may spot some ringlets, wood whites and meadow browns flitting around, perhaps a skipper or two.

Robert is regularly counting moths in the Millennium Woods - click here to read his post. At the last count, 44 species were identified!
