Capture on canvas the spring beauty of the Millennium Woods

A Greener Padbury

The sight of snowdrops and crocuses popping up all over the village gives many of us a spring in our step - why not go one further and capture Spring on canvas? If you're not sure where to start, a new art workshop maybe what you need!

Padbury resident and professional artist Diana Francis has recently launched ‘Art Friends’ art workshops every Monday at Padbury Village Hall and next week the topic is 'Spring in Padbury Woods'.. These sessions are perfect for beginners looking to build a strong foundation with a back-to-basics approach, as well as for more experienced artists wanting to refresh and refine their skills.

Over the full course, the workshops cover:

Drawing Techniques – Shapes, shading, and perspective

Colour & Painting Skills – Watercolours, oil pastels, acrylics, and palette knife work

Composition & Creativity – Structuring and developing your own artworks

Monday, March 4 (1:30 pm – 4:30 pm) – Spring in Padbury Woods: Capturing the beauty of the Padbury woods with oil pastels.

Each session is £25, which includes all art materials, plus tea, coffee, and, of course, biscuits!

It’s a relaxed, welcoming environment; no pressure, just a great way to enjoy art with fellow enthusiasts.
