Can you spare a couple of hours next weekend?
We have 27 bat boxes to put up in the Millennium Woods. (The Men in Sheds have been busy again - thank you very much indeed!) This will be a hugely important part in encouraging more bats to make their home in our woods.
We also need to remove an area of encroaching blackthorn bushes and other vegetation adjacent to the central ride in the woods. This will enable us to create a 'scallop' to allow more light in to make space and habitat for more flowering plants and all that they support. have 27 bat boxes to put up at nine different locations throughout the woods.
We are planning to carry out this work over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd June, and we would very much value your support if you are able to give it.
We plan to have four sessions of 3 hours:- 10 am - 1 pm and 2 - 5 pm on Saturday, and the same on Sunday.
