Come and join us for an exciting bat and moth experience in the Millennium Woods! This was a bat-tastically fun event last year so we're doing it again on Sunday 27th October, 3.45-5.30pm.
This time of year, bats can be seen in abundance in Halloween decorated homes. They may have a spooky reputation, but they are in fact superheroes of our ecosystems. Bats rely on our night-time flying moths as a vital food source, yet moths also receive a bad press as brown boring cloth-devouring pests - but moths matter!
If you want to find out more about the importance of these misunderstood creatures and how to conserve them then please join us on the 27th for an alternative Halloween experience. The walk will begin with a creative interactive introduction at Padbury playground followed by a walk into the woods at twilight.
This will be a fun, creative and informative session suitable for all ages – we would like to warmly welcome family groups and individuals to join us in taking the spook out of our very important creatures of the night!
